Jens Havlicek

General Manager

Jens joined in 2015.
As the General Manager, he directs, administers, leads and motivates activities of the entire operation of the resort to ensure long term financial goals and stability are achieved. He takes necessary actions to protect the company assets, guides and directs all staff members of the resort.
Jens holds a BA (Honours) in Hospitality Management from Anglia Polytechnic University, Norwich, United Kingdom, 1994. He also completed the BTEC HND in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management from City College, Norwich, United Kingdom in 1991. ­
Jens has worked in various positions around the globe. ­He started his career as Assistant Front Office Manager at Sheraton Hotel Towers in Brussels, Belgium in 1995. In 2001, he transferred as Front Office Manager to the Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel. In 2003, he joined the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti as Rooms Division Manager. ­In 2005 he moved to the Middle East and worked as Front Office Manager at the Gulf Hotel, Manama Bahrain. In 2007 he travelled to the Maldives and worked as Operations Manager at Full moon Resort. In 2008, he worked as Hotel Manager at Raffles Resort, Canouan Island, St. Vincent. In 2009, he moved to Jamaica as Hotel Manager at Sandals Negril Beach Resort and Spa. He became a General Manager at K108 Hotel in Doha, Qatar in 2011. In 2012, he moved to Memling Hotel, Kinshasa, DRC as Director of Operations before taking up the position of General Manager at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa in 2015.
Jens is married and his home is in Brussels, Belgium. ­He enjoys reading English and American classic literature.
He is fluent in English and French and has basic knowledge of Dutch and Spanish. German is his mother tongue.

Mohamed Zahir

Director of Operations

Zahir joined in 1989.
As the Director of Operations, he assists the General Manager in managing the daily operations to increase guest satisfaction and employee productivity. He is responsible for the daily operations of several departments such as the Front Office, Guest Services, Sports, Entertainment & Activities, Housekeeping, Guest Transport, Security, Gift Shop and Medical Clinic.
After graduating with GCE O' Level in Baa Atoll Education Center, Maldives, Zahir began his work experience in 1989 as a Billing Clerk at Veligandu Island Resort & Spa. Then in 1999, he was promoted to become a Receptionist, then in 1994 promoted as Front Office Manager, then in 1995 promoted as Housekeeper; then in 1997, promoted to Assistant Manager, Veligandu Island Resort & Spa; then in 2003, moved to Meeru Island Resort & Spa as Personnel Manager; then in 2004 at Helengili as Assistant Manager; then in 2015, joined Meeru as Director of Operations; then in 2016, Director of Operations for Veligandu; then in 2017, transferred as Director of Operations, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, his current position.
Zahir is married and makes his home in Eydhafushi. He enjoys playing football, table tennis, swimming and fishing.

Sheella Nacionales

Sales & Marketing Manager

Sheella Nacionales joined CCR in June, 2013.
Sheella graduated from Ateneo De Davao University in 2003, and from Brokenshire College, Davao City, Philippines, in 2006.
After which, she worked in various positions in Manila including Outbound Sales, Timeshare, and Customer Service Representative, ICT Marketing Services.­In 2007, Sheella relocated to Singapore to work as Customer Service Rep, Singapore Telecom, then in 2008, as Technical Support, Sutherland Global Services; then in 2009, as Operations Supervisor, Transcom Asia.­In 2011, Sheella relocated to the Maldives to work as Travel Consultant, Atoll Paradise, then in 2012 as Reservations Supervisor, Kihaad Maldives, and in 2013, as Travel Agent, Crown & Champa Resorts; then in 2016,­ promoted as Sales & Marketing Manager, Crown & Champa Resorts.
Sheella is single, makes her home in Davao City, Philippines, enjoys travelling, swimming and diving. Her language skills include English and Tagalog.

Madhah Faiz

Front Office Manager

Madhah joined in 2006.
As the Front Office Manager, he controls the day-to-day functions of the Front Office. His work includes the efficient management of guests’ arrival and departure, ensuring that his team of Receptionists carry out a professional and friendly service when handling information and in liaising with Guest Services Team on special requests brought to the desk by the guests.
Madhah earned his BTEC National Diploma in Hospitality in 2013 from The Maldives National University.
He began his career as a Receptionist in Meeru Island Resort & Spa in 2006. Then in 2008, Front Office Supervisor; then in 2013, Assistant Housekeeper in Meeru Island Resort & Spa; then in 2015, Assistant Front Office Manager and in 2016 promoted to his current role, Front Office Manager, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa.
Madhah is single and makes his home in Fuvahmulah. He loves playing football.

Ibrahim Rasheed

Reservations Manager

Ibrahim Rasheed "Rasheed" joined in April, 2008.
He graduated with GCE 'O' Level in Male', 1995. After which, he served in various positions in the Maldives including Storekeeper, Athuruga; then Meterological Observer, Department of Meterology; then Storekeeper, Ranveli; then Reservations Supervisor, Ari Beach; then Reservations and Front Office Supervisor, Coco Palm; then in 2008, Reservations Manager, Vilamendhoo Island Resort; then in 2011, Reservations Manager, Veligandu Island Resort; then in 2015, transferred to Vilamendhoo Island Resort in his current position.
Rasheed is married, makes his home in Hithadhoo, Addu City and enjoys watching football and fishing. Rasheed's native language is Dhivehi and he speaks English.

Mirjana Vidic

Executive Housekeeper

Mira joined in 2016.
As the Executive Housekeeper, she ensures the Resort’s guest and staff accommodation, facilities and public areas are clean, comfortable and the highest standard.
She started her career in housekeeping in 2003, Floor Housekeeper, Hotel Claridge’s, London, United Kingdom; then in 2006, Senior Floor Supervisor, promoted to Assistant Executive Housekeeper Hotel Splendid, Becici; then in 2007, Housekeeping Consultant, Hotel Sumarice, Kragujevac, Serbia; then in 2009, Front Office Senior Guest Assistant ­later promoted as the Housekeeping Manager Aman Sveti Stefan, Montenegro; then in 2011, Executive Housekeeper Amantaka Resort, Laos; then in 2014, Executive Housekeeper Regent Hotels Porto, Montenegro and moved to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa as the Executive Housekeeper, her current role.
Mira is single and makes her home in Belgrade, Serbia. She enjoys traveling, scuba diving and other water sport activities.

Ivan Silk

Executive Chef

Ivan joined in 2016.
As our Executive Chef, he is responsible for creating memorable culinary experiences during your stay. With his leadership skills, he oversees all kitchen operations to ensure that the food served is of the highest quality in terms of the taste, presentation and food safety.
Ivan hails from Stoke on Trent, England and started cooking at an early age at home, experimenting with recipes from cook books. After graduating from high school in 1984, he joined Best Western Hotels as an Apprentice Chef and attended his local college gaining his culinary diploma.
From 1987 he was with the Forte Hotel Group and worked in Hyde Park Hotel, Grosvenor House Hotel and Bath Spa Hotel, UK; Ecole Lenotre, Culinary Institute, Paris, France and Palazzo Della Fonte Hotel, Rome, Italy. Then in 1994, Head Chef, The Mill Hotel and Stone House Hotel Staffordshire, UK; then for 10 years, Executive Chef, The Courtleigh Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica; then in 2010, Consultant Chef, the Dead Sea Spa Hotel, Jordon, then again in 2010, Executive Chef at Anse Chastanet, St Lucia, Caribbean; then in 2013, General Manager, Yachtsman Grill restaurant, Nevis; then in 2015, Head Chef, InterContinental Hotel Group; then in 2016, Head Chef, Chateau Du Molay, France before joining his current role, here at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa as our Executive Chef.
Ivan is single and makes his home in England, Canada & Jamaica. He enjoys dining out, playing golf and badminton, but most of all, he loves watching his beloved football team - Stoke City.

Moosa Siraj

F&B Manager

Moosa Siraj “Siraj” joined in 1998.
He graduated with a BTEC National Diploma, Institute of Hotel & Catering Services, ­Maldives, in affiliation with Birmingham University, UK, in December 1998.­­Then, he graduated with a Higher Diploma, Brevete de Technicien Superrieure Hotellerie (B.T.S.H.) Taylor’s College, School of Hospitality & Tourism, Malaysia, in affiliation with the University of Toulouse, France, in June 2006.
Then, he graduated with a Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management (Hon), Taylor’s University, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, Malaysia, in affiliation with the University of Toulouse, France, in June 2011. Then, he graduated from the Elite Bartender Course (JWC), Singapore, in August 2013.
Siraj began his work experience in the Maldives in 1995, as Receptionist, Rangali Island Resort; then in 1998, promoted and transferred as Senior Receptionist, Vakarufalhi; then promoted as Front Office, and Food & Beverage Supervisor; then promoted as Food & Beverage In Charge; then in 2008, promoted and transferred as Food & Beverage Operations Manager, Meeru; then in 2009, transferred as Food & Beverage Operations Manager, Gasfinolhu; then in 2011, transferred as Food & Beverage Operations Manager, and promoted as F&B Manager in 2012 - Veligandu; then in 2016, transferrred to Vilamendhoo Island Resort in his current position.

Mohamed Abdul Rahman

Human Resources Manager

Mohamed joined in 1994.
As the Human Resources Manager, he oversees staff recruitment and selection and plays an integral role in staff development and training. He looks after employee housing, welfare and recreation and ensures that the standard of disciplinary procedure is maintained and enforced.
He received his Diploma in Hospitality in 2010 from Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies, Male. He is currently doing his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management in Maldives National University, Maldives. His international experiences include The International Tourism Bourse (ITB), Berlin in 2004. He has also travelled to India, Sri Lanka, UK, Scotland, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey.
Mohamed started his career in 1992, as a Receptionist in Dhigufinolhi and Veligandu Huraa, Maldives. Then in 1993, bartender, Kanifinolhu Tourist Resort, Maldives. He joined Crown & Champa Resorts, Maldives in 1994 when he became the Head Receptionist and Accounts Clerk, then in 1995, Head Cashier, then Personnel & Training Supervisor and then in 2000, Reservations Supervisor, Vakarufalhi Island Resort; then in 2004, Front Office Manager, Veligandu Island Resort & Spa; then in 2010, Resident Manager, Gasfinolhu Island Resort, Maldives; then in 2011, Human Resources Manager, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa; then in 2012, Office Manager, Champa Resorts’ Male’ Office and then General Manage, Central Hotel Male’; then in 2016, Sales & Marketing Manager, ­Crown and Champa Resorts, Maldives and then in 2017, transferred to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa to his current position.
Mohamed is married with three children and enjoys playing volleyball, football, watching movies, gardening, scuba diving and riding the motorbike.

Rajeev Pappachan

IT Manager

Rajeev joined in 2011.
He is responsible for all things related to information technology – property management system, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, networks and mobile technology.
He earned his Diploma in Electronics in 2001 from NCVT, India; then in 2010, Bachelor in Business Administration from Annamalai University, India.
He started his career with Hewlett Packard, India in 2002 as Support Engineer; then in 2005, Project Engineer Dream Hotel and Network Support Engineer Taj Residency Hotel, India; then in 2009, IT/Systems Executive Dream Hotel, India; then
in 2011, System Administrator and then in 2013, Assistant IT Manage, Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, Maldives; then in 2016 he moved to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa as IT Manager, his current role.
Rajeev is married with one child and makes his home in India. He enjoys driving and listening to music.

Alfred Thavarajah

Purchasing Manager

Alfred Thavarajah joined in 2007.
As the Purchasing Manager, he plans, organizes, directs and oversees all purchasing functions of the resort. He also ensures that products received are of the highest quality with the best price available while adhering to company policies and schedule demands.
Alfred holds a Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Advance Bookkeeping and Financial Management from Indian Institute of Management and Technology.
Alfred has worked in various positions in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He started as Audit Clerk at Taxmen Associates in 1987; then, in 1995, Assistant Accountant, Universal Marketing Pvt. Ltd.; then in 2004, Accountant, Paras Industries Pvt. Ltd; then in 2006, Accountant, Sunway Holidays Pvt Ltd; then in 2007, Materials Controller, Kuredu Island Resort & Spa; then in 2008, promoted as Purchasing Manager; then, transferred to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, in his current position.­
Alfred is married with 2 kids, and makes his home in Hunupitiya, Wattala, Sri Lanka. He enjoys playing basketball and tennis. Alfred's native language is Singhalese and he speaks Tamil and English.

Mohamed Iyad

Chief Engineer

Iyad joined in 2012.
He is responsible for the Maintenance Department which keeps the Resort in good working order. Facilities include the Power House, reverse osmosis fresh water plants, sewage treatment plant, waste disposal systems, boat fleet and vehicles which cater to the 400 guests and 435 staff, all living on Vilamendhoo. He is also in charge of the Fire Brigade.
Iyad graduated with an A’ Level at the Science Education Centre, Male’, in 1998; then joined the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). He completed the Basic Training Course and was assigned to the Fire and Rescue Service; then he completed the Basic Firefighting Course and was assigned as a Firefighter, Male’ Fire Station.­In 2009, he served as Marine Corps Platoon Sergeant; then in 2010, as Researcher, Marine Corps Training Department.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Defense Studies) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, General Sir Jhon Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. He is a licensed Electrical Engineer by the Maldives Energy Authority.
In 2012, Iyad joined as Assistant Chief Engineer, Vilamendhoo Island Resort; then was promoted as the Chief Engineer, his current position.
Iyad is single and makes his home in Male', Maldives. He enjoys swimming and photography. Iyad's native language is Dhivehi and he speaks Singhalese and English.

Ravindra Rodrigopulle

Financial Controller

Ravindra "Ravi" joined in 1997.
He is responsible to direct and organise the activities of the Finance Department to formulate accounting, finance policies and procedures to ensure a system of internal control and maximise the profitability of the Resort.
He prepares the budget, financial statements, payroll, various financial analysis, maintains inventories, oversees the Stores, the Staff Shop, Purchasing and the IT Department. ­
Ravi completed his General Certificate of Education (Advance Level), St. Benedict’s College, Sri Lanka, in 1984. His professional qualifications include Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London; Association of Accounting Technicians, London; International Association of Bookkeepers, London; Association of Accounting Technicians, Sri-Lanka.
Ravi began his work experience in Sri Lanka, 1984, first as Accounts Clerk/Cashier, Lanka Garments Mfg. Co. Ltd; then in 1985, as Accounts Clerk/Cashier, Delmage Forsyth & Company Ltd.; then in 1989, as Accountant Clerk/Cashier, A Baur & Company Ltd.; then in 1989 as Accountant, Ihuru Tourist Resort, Maldives; then in 1992, as Accounts Executive, The Autodrome, Ltd., Sri Lanka; then in 1996, in the Maldives, as Accountant, Universal Enterprises; then in 1997, as Financial Controller, Veligandu Island Resort; then in 2011, transferred to Vilamendhoo Island Resort, in his current position.
Ravi is married and makes his home in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He enjoys listening to music, watching TV and playing cricket. Ravi's native language is Singhalese and he speaks English.­

Zubair Ali

Guest Transport Manager

Zubair joined in 2007.
He is responsible for the operation of the boat fleet including guest transfers, excursions, snorkeling and SCUBA diving. He schedules the use of the boats, oversees their maintenance, repair and crew training.­
Zubair received his secondary education at Alifu Dhaalu Atoll Education Center, Maldives, in 2000.
In 2007, he started working as Private Dhoni Supervisor, Vilamendhoo Island Resort; then promoted as Launch Section Supervisor; then in 2008, promoted as Assistant Guest Transport Manager; then in 2015, promoted as Guest Transport Manager, his current position.
Zubair is single and makes his home in Mahibadhoo, Maldives. He is a good musician and enjoys singing. Ali's native language is Dhivehi and he speaks English.

Husnee Ibrahim

Sports, Entertainment and Activities Manager

Husnee joined in 2004.
He is responsible for the Sports, Entertainment and Activities (SEA) Department. He organizes and oversees the resort sports and facilities, night entertainment program and all excursions.
Husnee graduated in 2010 with a National Diploma, Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) in Hospitality, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies.His international experiences include Cross-Cultural Tourism Education Trip in France in 2010. He has also participated in International Travel and Trade Show, World Travel Market (WTM) Fair in London,­UK­in 2010.
He has been with Crown & Champa Resorts, Maldives since 2004 when he started as a Receptionist; and then in 2006, promoted Head Receptionist, then in 2007, SEA Supervisor, Vakarufalhi Island Resort, Maldives. Then in 2008, SEA Supervisor, then in 2010, Front Office Supervisor, in Meeru Island Resort. Then again in 2010, Assistant Front Office Manager, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa; then in In 2013, promoted to SEA Manager, Meeru Island Resort & Spa; then in 2015, Assistant SEA Manager and then in 2017, promoted to SEA Manager, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa.­
Husnee is married with three children and enjoys playing volleyball, football, snorkeling, diving, fishing, watching movies and reading.
He speaks fluent English and Dhivehi.

Dr. Mirza Ali

Resident Doctor

Dr. Mirza joined in 2016.
As the Resort Doctor, he looks after the health and safety of the guests and staff, ensuring that care is provided in a timely manner.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Pakistan in 2013. Then in 2014, wrote a research article, abstract published in Journal of American Society of Nephrology (JASN); then in 2015, AHA-Certified (American Heart Association) Provider of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), ACS-Certified (American College of Surgeons) Provider of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) post-graduate certifications.
Dr. Mirza started his career with Jinnah Hospital, Pakistan in 2013 as House Officer; then in 2014, Medical Officer, Hajira Medical Complex, Pakistan and Lecturer, Azra Naheed Medical College, Pakistan; then in 2015, Medical Officer, Medics Dr. Amer’s OPD Clinic before moving to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa as Resort Doctor, his current role.
Dr. Mirza is married with one daughter and makes his home in Lahore, Pakistan. He enjoys traveling and playing cricket. He speaks fluent English and Urdu.
